If we ever had to describe the ultimate limbo situation after graduating from college, moving out of ma and pa's and trying to make it in the big city, "The Onion" as we called it, would be it. The five bedroom house served its purpose for the house parties, the photo-shoots, the couch surfing friends and about the nine people who moved in and out of it. Inspired by one of my frequents, The Selby, I decided to capture the last few weeks before we moved out. It was one of those "if walls could talk" kind of places. Nevertheless, it was perfect in every sense for a struggling artist's pocket and, after forty three months, the longest commitment I've ever made.
