"Inspired" - Canon Commercial 2012

"When was the last time you were inspired to be creative?"

A promo for the new Canon Rebel T4i, this commercial holds very true to any photographer: Do anything and everything to get the perfect shot.  That's the challenge.  Also, in case you were wondering the song used in the commercial is 'Beautiful Dreamer' sung by Michelle Featherstone.

Four More Years - Harlem, NYC

When the announcement was made that Barack Obama was projected the winner of the 2012 Presidential Election, I threw on a bunch of layers, strapped my camera around my neck, jumped on my bicycle and rode through my neighboring streets of Harlem.  It was hard to miss the chants of "Four More Years!", the banging of pots and pans and the joyous cries coming from moving cars.  NYPD lined the block of 125th and Adam Clayton where the largest crowd was formed of all ages, cultures, race and sex.  It was moving to experience the sights and sounds of strangers dancing in the streets together.  It gave me hope for the next four years as together we trek to move #forward.  Here's to Four More Years ....

Blogtrot: California Coast - San Francisco

Reaching our final destination we met up with more friends in San Francisco who took us to an alternative view of the Golden Gate Bridge located at Baker Beach.  Lying on shore of the Pacific, the public beach is located on the peninsula of SF, giving us an appealing view of the iconic golden gate bridge from the southwest.  Considered to be a nude beach, we only had time for a quick (clothes on) stop, allowing for a fun photo opp and a few smokes on the rocks.  Great company, amazing views and endless memories... it was a perfect way to end a week in California.

Blogtrot: California Coast - Santa Monica, Malibu, Cambria via PCH

The last and longest leg of the PCH road trip brought us North of Santa Monica until we finally reached the Bay after sundown.  Unfortunately you lose the spectacular ocean views through Big Sur entirely at night but we managed to take advantage of every ounce of sunlight that came our way.  The ride included a few costume changes, a stop in Malibu and taking an accidental, however scenic detour off of Route 1/PCH for a bit of the drive.  We found ourselves lost in Cambria which presented us with a mountainous backdrop and dirt roads.  Going as far as we could to avoid stopping for food or gas we landed in San Francisco after a total of 12 hours.

Next leg: San Francisco, Baker Beach
